Head will return home to Adelaide for a vacation before Australia’s T20 and Test trip of New Zealand later this month. He will not participate in the remaining two ODIs or the three T20 internationals that follow.

Recently, Head has been going through a little hard. During the second Test match against the West Indies at the Gabba in Brisbane last week, the daring batsman was removed for two ducks in a row, a King’s Pair.

Later, in the first One-Day International (ODI) between Australia and the West Indies at the MCG last night, he hit his first ball for four. He then swung and missed at another two, then edged behind for four as Josh Inglis, Cameron Green, and Steve Smith guided Australia to an easy eight-wicket victory.

Additionally, bowler Xavier Bartlett of Australia has stated that he would be rested from tomorrow’s second match after making a fantastic debut against the West Indies in the first ODI, when he finished with second-best numbers (4-17) for the team.

Steve Smith (captain), Sean Abbott, Xavier Bartlett, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Cameron Green, Aaron Hardie, Josh Hazlewood (only in the second ODI), Josh Inglis, Spencer Johnson (only in the third ODI), Marnus Labuschagne, Lance Morris, Matt Short, Will Sutherland, and Adam Zampa are the players for Australia in the One-Day Internationals.

The West Indies ODI team consists of the following players: Romario Shepherd, Oshane Thomas, Alzarri Joseph, Alick Athanaze, Teddy Bishop, Keacy Carty, Roston Chase, Matthew Forde, Justin Greaves, Kavem Hodge, Tevin Imlach, Gudakesh Motie, Kjorn Ottley, Hayden Walsh Jr.

Tomorrow, February 4, at the SCG in Sydney, Australia and the West Indies will play the second One-Day International (ODI) in the four-match series.

Following that, on February 9, both teams will begin a three-match T20I series.
