In FY 2023, the Flexi Staffing Industry Will Add 14% More Jobs

According to the Indian Flexi Staffing Federation (IFS), the country's new employment in the flexible staffing sector increased by 14% in 2022–2023 alone.
According to a statement from the industry group ISF, members together created 1.77 lakh new flexible positions in FY23, mostly due to the increase in employment in important industries including e-commerce, logistics, manufacturing, tourism and hospitality, FMCG, consumer durables, and healthcare.
In the flex workforce, women continued to make about 24% of participants in FY2023.
The Annual Flexi Staffing Industry Employment Trend Report for 2023, which was issued on Tuesday, detailed these conclusions.

1.47 lakh new flexi positions across general staffing roles were created during FY23, representing a strong rise of 15.3% in general flexible staffing (i.e., excluding IT flexible staffing).
By the end of the previous fiscal year, however, the IT Flexi Staffing market had seen a reduction in new flex positions of 7.7% year over year.
There was a 0.4% quarter-over-quarter increase in the number of new flex positions during the last (March) quarter of the fiscal year (2022-23).
Sectors including FMCG, E-commerce, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Retail, Logistics, Banking, and Energy were the main drivers of demand for jobs in General Flexi Staffing. However, during the same time, IT Flexi Staffing saw a fall of 6% quarter over quarter.
The decline in the creation of new jobs within the IT Flexi Staffing sector was paralleled by the worldwide slowdown in IT hiring as well as the continuous process of market-wide employment right-sizing.
Freshmen and first-time job market entrants continue to get their first formal work prospects from the staffing business in FY'2023.
The astounding 14% increase in new flexible positions indicates that the worst of the epidemic is behind us, according to ISF President Lohit Bhatia.
