<p>India’s flagbearer at the Olympics in Paris will be veteran table tennis player and current CWG champion Sharath Kamal, while the nation’s chef de mission will be famed boxer MC Mary Kom.</p>

<p>The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) stated in a statement that the 41-year-old table tennis player represents “the unity and spirit of our contingent as they compete on the Olympic stage.”</p>
<p>Kamal said, “These past three weeks have been unbelievable.” He said, “I went from not even knowing if I would make it to the Olympics to playing the way I did in Singapore last week, jumping 54 spots in the rankings, and being named India’s flagbearer.” At the 2022 Birmingham CWG’s closing ceremony, Kamal, who won three gold medals, carried the Indian flag.</p>
<p>Shiva Keshavan, a luger who won bronze in the 2012 London Olympics, has been named deputy chef de mission and will support six-time world champion Mary Kom.</p>
<p>Gagan Narang, the bronze medalist from the Olympics, will be in charge of India’s activities at the shooting range, which is located far from the major arenas.</p>
