Swiss Open: Treesa-Gayatri advances to the last eight

<p>Today, Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand, the Indian women’s doubles team, defeated Priya Konjengbam and Shruti Mishra in straight sets to advance to the Swiss Open quarterfinals.</p>

<p>In only thirty-six minutes, the eighth-seeded duo easily defeated Priya and Shruti 21-10, 21-12. Australia’s Setyana Mapasa and Angela Yu, ranked 14th in the Olympics qualifying standings, will now take on the world’s No. 26 pair.</p>
<p>Global No. 20 Japan’s Rui Hirokami and Yuna Kato, ranked 30th in the world, defeated Tanisha Crasto and Ashwini Ponnappa, who were ranked 12th in the Paris race, 17-21, 16-21.</p>
